Jalore is located in the South West part of Rajasthan.  24.48" 5' Northen latitude to 25.48" 37' Northen latitude and 71.7' castern longitude to mide of 75.5"  53' eastan longitude.  The total area of the district is 10,564.44 Sq. Kilometers which is 3.11% of the State 13^th place is acquired in respect of area.  The North Western border is shared with Barmer,North Eastern boundary is shared with Pali, towards South East Sirohi holds it position and in south the ambit ofGujarat comes into force.  In respect of its geological formation most part is formed of fourth century modern century deposits.  These deposits could be seen in Grid pattern formed by sand(Balu), new alluvial and old alluvial Soils.

                   In Bhinmal Teshil's South Eastern part Jaswantpur highest mountains of the district are situated.  the highest peak is Sundha (991) meters 3252 feet. It has the glory of being the highest peak in district.

                   Whole district is a part of the Luni Basin . Therefore Luni and its tributaries Jawai,Sukdi,Khari,Bandi and Sagi rivers form the flow of network.

                   Being tropical and half tropical climate as it basic characteristic, the annual and daily temperature rises high.  Average annual rainfall is 43.4 Cm.  January being the coldest month mercury dips to 1 to 2 centigrade.  Again in the month of June mercury rises providing average daily temperature around 41⁰ to 42⁰  centigrade fatal temperature of 48⁰  C is also experienced during some days.
